Cardhu House - Golf Accommodation
Many of the Highlands world famous golf courses are easily accessible from Cardhu House.
Challenging links courses are spread along the shores of the Moray coast and the rugged and spectacular scenery of the Highland Courses is second to none. Forres, Elgin, Rothes, Nairn, Spey Bay, Lossiemouth, Grantown on Spey and Ballindalloch all boast excellent courses within easy driving distance.
Definitely worth a visit and within a 40 minute drive are:
Boat of Garten
Renowned as a demanding test of sporting skill and for its magnificent setting “The Boat” is wonderfully presented and dubbed as “the Gleneagles of the North”.
A traditional links course widely known as one of the best courses in Scotland it tests the skills of amateur and professional alike.
At Aviemore this new course has recently been voted one of the best in Scotland providing challenging aspects and a unique Highland environment. The 18 hole championship course with its heather-lined fairways and stunning views meanders through the trees along the banks of the River Spey
A new championship links course overlooking the Moray Firth described as one of the first great links courses of the twenty first century and “perhaps the most perfectly conceived and executed design ever built”. Venue for Scottish Open 2011.
The nearest course to Cardhu Country House is Ballindalloch. With its nine holes and eighteen tees, the course provides a fair test for golfers of all standards. The course is set on the banks of the River Avon, among 150 year old trees and with marvellous views of the surrounding purple heather-clad hills and native birch woods.
